Taking Care of Business

This post needs to cover two items of business. The first and easiest is the song of the day: "Someday We'll Know" by Mandy Moore & Jonathan Foreman.

Secondly, it's weird being one of those who stays for Spring. This is the first time since I've started going to school that I've stayed and it's really weird. I love it while at the same time hate it because it means it'll be that much longer until I see my family again. Also, it's weird because I'm here seeing off people whereas when I was here my first two years, people saw me off. I can now understand how they felt as I boarded my plane to fly me home across an ocean. Another reason it's weird is the fact that my boyfriend is home in Washington while I'm here, and chances are that I'm staying here for a year or so.

Going to school here is quite the adventure.

Presently

Spiraling down,
Losing breath,
Wanting more,
Nothing having,
Blinding winds,
Slowing thought,
Anticipated pain,
Solaced loss.

Hitting hard,
Bleeding tons,
Blurred gaze,
Spying nothingness,
Feeling numb,
Losing control,
Finding hope.

Learning anew,
Regaining love,
Discovering knowledge,
Becoming enlightened,
Digging in,
Unflinchingly stubborn,
Yearning touch,
Craving love,
Needing friendship,
Truly blessed.

  • I love that song (and no, I'm not in love with Mandy Moore). And that is an awesome poem... it's fun to read friends poems cos then you can understand them... or at least think you do...

  • I love how are group is so poetic. It gives us insights into eachother and make our friendships that much stronger.
From the point of view of someone who has always left and never stayed to watch someone leave It is hard as you well know and i wonder what it would be like to be in that position guess i will find out next year.
But im glad i get to be the point of view of someone who is just going on an adventure for awhile and will be back to share the story of her travels with her friends. ^_^
    MISS YOU ALREADY
